First soap shoe i ever bought...

I cant compare it to anything else because i have only gone through 2 pairs so far (of Express)

Only bad thing i can say is, after maybe 6 months or so of grinding, the shoe literally starts falling apart. You can pull the rubber right off the shoe and the grindplate starts to crack.

Apr 7, 2006 maddog

First Soaps and i love em they are workin great although i would like to try other ones to see how they compare. they grind really well and are really confortable!

Apr 17, 2006 AnthoFlex

My first pair of SOaps.....They are OK but i'd rather have the Cleans...(removable grind plate)

Apr 27, 2006 AnthoFlex

I take back that OK bullshit.....lolz...they're pretty fuking good... yay XP

Apr 27, 2006 James

Yeah,it's always sweet to have a removable grind plate.

May 4, 2006 Namlhof

The Express model is not a terrible shoe. It is indeed very light and you can zip down a rail/curb/etc like nothing. It's downside (as mentioned by RightFlank96) is that it can be torn up rather quickly judging by shoe standards.

May 10, 2006 Curtinator

Yeah these are the first ones I ever bought. They are good. I am just tired of the colour.

May 21, 2006 AnthoFlex

Airbrush them.....lolz, thats what i do sumtimes...

Jun 25, 2006 AnthoFlex

I think one of the most coolest feature on this shoe (at least when i bought em) is the Shoe Lace......It has the Soap Logo on it...lol

Jun 25, 2006 Curtinator

Yeah thats true.

Jul 20, 2006 AnthoFlex

Hey guys, look at the pics of the Express'......Maybe im blind as a mofo but on the pics NOT showing the plates side, On each shoe....near the back...theres sumthing shiny on it.....On the white ones it seems to be a bubble.....But......My Express' dunt have anything shiny or a bubble near the back where that is....does any fellow Express owner have that?

Jul 21, 2006 Surfaced

it's called an Airbag, it cushions from impact. Commonly used in skate shoes and basketball shoes. I am amazed to hear that you shoes don't have the window though.

Jul 21, 2006 AnthoFlex

Yay! my express's are One of a kind then!

Aug 3, 2006 Kile

first Soap Shoe i ever baught, but now i don't fit in them anymore which really does suck. I liked the Express because of their style.

Aug 24, 2006 SonicSoaper

I've got the Torch shoes from Heely's with the Express grind plate and I love them. Shock-absorbing technology, tee-hee. Makes me giggle.

Sep 16, 2006 AnthoFlex

Can you roll then jump into a grind without taking a step or two?

Upon landing, do you land on ur wheels or take a few steps then roll away?

Sep 16, 2006 Mart

Considering most of your upward momentum comes from jumping off the ball of your foot, it would be ridiculously hard to try and launch yourself off your heels using only your knees for jumping

Sep 16, 2006 AnthoFlex

I know that Mart, its just i was trying to make a (somewhat)sarcastic question.....i was trying to get outta him that Heelers cant jump while rolling.....If ur gonna heel, you might as well In-line

Sep 16, 2006 AnthoFlex

I i guess if you soap, you might as well inline too....if you wanna think that....

Sep 16, 2006 SonicSoaper

Looking at some vids on tghe Heelys website, you start out rolling, then steop to grind, then land on the balls of your feet, and then start to heel again.

Sep 16, 2006 AnthoFlex

Good for them......i SOap

Sep 16, 2006 SonicSoaper

Same here but Torch Heelys are the best I can do right now. *sigh* Damn you HSL.

Sep 19, 2006 chip

are theas good i oderd some and id like to know

Sep 19, 2006 Wesker

The Express are a pretty awesome shoe. A solid plate with some shock absorbers in the soles to cushion your fall.

Sep 19, 2006 AnthoFlex

Not mine hahaha

Sep 25, 2006 matrix8967

These are my babies...non-removeable grind plate in my opinion is a dumbass idea cuz it's tought to go up the ladder at work fast with them (i have to lock in, grind to the side then step) but i used them to grind at the alamo in san antonio...but i still love them, had them for a year and are still in good condition...grindplate is kinda meh, but all in all 8/10

---Alex

Oct 8, 2006 matrix8967

i personally hate heely's...they've abused soap...:( but the express still lives, and i've bought my part to keep soap alive (long enough to be independant of heely's...the bonding contract goes out in 08 if i'm not mistaken)

Oct 8, 2006 matrix8967

---Alex

Oct 9, 2006 AnthoFlex

What contract?

Oct 9, 2006 SonicSoaper

Perhaps he means that after 2008, HSL will no longer own Soap.

Oct 9, 2006 matrix8967

yeah, i read that HSL won't own soap after 08...looks like it's time for some of my crack detective work...

---Alex

Oct 10, 2006 Go2Crew

so Matrix, where did you read that?

Oct 10, 2006 matrix8967

I know this sounds fishy, but i dont remember, I'm tempted to say Wikipedia (oh, how reliable) but i was doing alot of soap reading one night, and I recall reading something about soap being realesed in 08. Just disregard said information until (IF) i can find where i found that out. Maybe i'll just call HSL later today. I don't think that soap can be "realesed" but i'll look into it, but disregard until i can find out)

---Alex

Nov 27, 2006 Soopahsonic

If soap leaves HSL, it will die instantaneously!

Not anything against it though...

Nov 27, 2006 Kru

Yeah thats true that Soap is under a spell or something but they will be out of it in 2 more years. I would assume its so they can make alot of shoes so when or if they ever released them they'll have a stock ready. But actually I think its from lack of properly mantaining the company.. legal issues.. blahblahblah.

I have no idea if Heelys will bring back the soapys in 08 but.. who knows

Nov 27, 2006 Kru

Oh If I also remember properly HSL doesn't techincally own soap. Yes they own the rights and licenses but thats because of the binding contract so they can do whatever they want.. but in 08 either soap will die or it will blossom once again

Dec 28, 2006 Rynasty

The express are a good shoe. Nothing really stands out about them but there isn't anything that I hate. The royale plates are nice once you get a good groove in them (and im talking about a groove that goes into the rubber, the way its meant to be done). The plates don't wear out as fast as most people say, unless you grind nothing but unwaxed, unpainted curbs.

Dec 28, 2006 matrix8967

you know, honestly, i can't grind unwaxed unpainted curbs...i can grind painted ones...or waxed ones...but not unwaxed/painted...i jump on it, and it's like...so much friction my soaps stop, and i keep going...is it just me?

---Alex

Dec 28, 2006 AnthoFlex

Its physics, too much friction, plus the speed are putting into it

Dec 28, 2006 SonicSoaper

= ouch.

Dec 28, 2006 Kru

I've grinded an concrete ledge before. Lost some of the lock-on plastic :D

Dec 28, 2006 SonicSoaper

I've actually made a groove through the lock-on plastic of my plates.

Jan 20, 2007 guero12

Would it be better to wax a curb or to wax the grind plates?

Jan 20, 2007 siuol7

i usually wax the curb

Jan 20, 2007 siuol7

unless theres alot of people around

Jan 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

Grinding on a waxed curb will get wax on ur plates ; ) It super pointless to wax ur plates....it doesnt really help

Wax what ur grinding

Jan 27, 2007 JamesL

i am ordering a pair of these soon. they look and sound like sexy sons of a bitches!! =) cant wait.............

Jan 27, 2007 SonicSoaper

I'll be putting in order in for these as well. The express plate kicks ass.

Jan 28, 2007 Slidey

White expresses look sweet, and the Sonic and Pals deal is a super good one (for people in the UK). I'm gonna buy some soon, after my wishlist of: a Digi Cam, Black Cleans (for school) and then I'll buy these

Feb 1, 2007 soaper334

im watin on mine to come in the mail.they shold b here to day.do u have to wax or can u just strait up grind?

Feb 1, 2007 matrix8967

you can grind straight up. just becareful about unwaxed curbs...(painted is ok) but unwaxed is bad. it can shred ur plates. however, these are nice shoes. If HSL wouldnt have realeased like 12 of the same shoe, they'd be doing alot better now though...

---Alex

Feb 2, 2007 soaper334

do u mean like cement curbs such as a gutter?

Feb 2, 2007 shdook

some cement you can grind without even waxing it, others are to rough to even grind with wax

Feb 2, 2007 matrix8967

I usually just drag my plate across the curb to see how well it slides...that way it's minimal scratches...instead of a full on gash from trying to soap it without tearing it up.

---Alex

Feb 2, 2007 shdook

yeah thats usually what i do to

Feb 2, 2007 SonicSoaper

The rub test is always a wise way to go when you want to test your grinding surface.

Feb 5, 2007 soaper334

this is my first soap.i aggressive skate,i got tired of grinding once a week. now i can 24/7.in d.c. i pissed off my teacher on a feild trip.i ran down a flight of stares with him chasing. i said screw it and hoped on the rail

Feb 5, 2007 ordnanceflint91

just gotta say....i got my express today even tho they are used they are pretty good shoes....really comfortable and the express plate is nice....reminds me of my slo bro plates...great shoe

Feb 14, 2007 ufo1216

im getting mine soon! mine were on backorder for a while but hopefully they are going to be here tommorrow!

Feb 14, 2007 RamenRadio

I wish that I could own at least one pair of express. They are indeed very nice shoes, and a nice plate. I'd like to soap em' out for myself though. :D ufo1216, tell me how you like them when you get hem

Feb 14, 2007 Slidey

Hey Renny! my Express dont have that bubble either! They are the same as the chaos with the sole, however, the bit where the buble SHOULD be is much more soft than the rubber on the bottom of the shoe

Feb 15, 2007 ufo1216

I hope these shoes grind well. I used to own a pair of ordance with slo bro grindplates but i outgrew them. I think that the only drawback to these shoes is that the grindplates cannot be replaced.

Feb 15, 2007 RamenRadio

That's not a big problem. Besides, I don't think you have anything to worry about if you are getting a pair of Express.

Feb 23, 2007 kobansora

I hate you all! Being able to grab these lol
~JJ

Feb 23, 2007 SonicSoaper

Is that sarcasm? Anyway, yeah. These shoes are the shit!

Feb 23, 2007 casper

;x i need to buy a pair of these when i get some money, they look sick

Mar 1, 2007 Slidey

Is that arch bit above the plate a brake bar, or is it just the design of the shoe?

Mar 1, 2007 AnthoFlex

That entire arch thing can be used as a brake bar, thats why i love my express

Mar 1, 2007 kobansora

SonicSoaper, I was just playin around haha. I just meant that I can't order a pair of Expresses b/c I'm size 13. I can try size 12 but :c

~JJ

Mar 2, 2007 soaper334

these r awsome u dont need wax for most rails!!!

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

They are a little heavier than your ordinary shoe.
I wouldn't use them for the mile run.
It Takes some time to get used to walking in them.

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

They are still cool, but I wonder how the Scorchers are.

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

They are still cool, but I wonder how the Scorchers are.

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

They are still cool, but I wonder how the Scorchers are.

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

I didn't mean to post it three times.

Mar 7, 2007 Slidey

What size are you?? they are much lighter than my school shoes!

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

I wear size 11.

Mar 7, 2007 Slidey

Hmm, cool, maybe your normal shoes are made of light material then.

Mar 7, 2007 sam

Actually, these are the lightest soaps i own.

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

Yeah,
here's a picture of my normal shoes if you go here:

http://www.cbssportsstore.com/sm-adidas-nova-trail-running-shoe-mens--pi-2180861.html

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

The Express are probably some of the lightest SOAP's around but they are not lighter than my normal shoes.

The Scorchers are said to be the lightest SOAP Shoe.

Mar 7, 2007 AnthoFlex

My Express are lighter than BOTH my Scorchers....so i'd have to say that my Express are the lightest shoes i own

Mar 7, 2007 guero12

Really?
The Express are auctually lighter than the Scorchers?

Mar 18, 2007 SonicSoaper

Yep, they're kickass!

Mar 28, 2007 ZOMGSCORCHERS

W007 I ordered mine yesterday, i used airmail to ship (i live in the u.k.) and i ordered the express greys!

Mar 28, 2007 Surfaced

And you live in the UK?

I respect that. Very much so.

Apr 1, 2007 Tasslehoff

im guessing that these are like the best shoe for beginners?

Apr 1, 2007 pepsi

yeah, there probably good for any type, begginer or experienced.

Apr 2, 2007 SonicSoaper

The Express can be considered the ultimate Soap shoes if you're looking for a shoe without a sole plate.

Apr 5, 2007 RamenRadio

Yeah, I'd like to get two pairs of these if I get this job. Can't wait for the interview :D

Apr 5, 2007 mets603412

true i would want a pair of the expresses my friend just got the white pairs of expresses.

Apr 5, 2007 RamenRadio

Eddy should like them, they don't look bad :)

Apr 5, 2007 mets603412

yea i think they'll work pretty good for them and then maybe he could go up from there.

Apr 5, 2007 SonicSoaper

I think the white ones look too much like "SUPA NIKES".

Apr 5, 2007 adamblock

whats a supa nikes?

lol

Apr 5, 2007 SonicSoaper

Nike: famous shoe company
Supa: super

Apr 5, 2007 adamblock

ok

Apr 16, 2007 Joshua3109

Just got mine. They are GOD. The coolest shoes I have ever had in my life and MUCH MUCH more comfortable than my Adidas MegaBounce shoes. I love them haha. I really do.

Apr 16, 2007 Tasslehoff

I bought mine. still waiting... and waiting... and wai- GOD!!! I CANT STAND IT!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! :(

Apr 16, 2007 Tasslehoff

stupid postal service. fnarginflargmphgrrrrr

Apr 16, 2007 rhinoskater30

I got mine on Sunday. I actually met up with Steve and got them. Only bad thing is my parents won't let me wear 'em since they're for my b-day and I got 'em early. But when I tried 'em on they were good.

Apr 16, 2007 rhinoskater30

Oh yeah, you all probably know, but, if you order size ten and up, you won't have them bubble, the bottom will be different. At least mine were, but Steve said they were still good.

Apr 17, 2007 Tasslehoff

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!! AND WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i swear im gonna scream into a box so loud itll wake every postmaster worldwide... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Apr 17, 2007 Tasslehoff

I want my SOAPs you *mumbles angrily*...

Apr 17, 2007 pepsi

heh, it might usually take a couple of days, you just have to be patient, even though i know how hard it is to keep patient when you want them really really badly.

Apr 17, 2007 Tasslehoff

its been almost a week and they said my SOAPs would get here in 2 days!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrwaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawaaaa

Apr 17, 2007 Joshua3109

It took mine like 14 days when they said 7-10. Its most likely customs holding up your order so just be patient about 3 0r 4 more days and you should have em

Apr 17, 2007 Surfaced

It was 8 days for mine to arrive in Connecticut.

Apr 17, 2007 rhinoskater30

At least you can wear ur when u get em because i got mine early, and they were for my b-day, and my parents are holding them till then, which is at the end of the month.

Apr 17, 2007 Tasslehoff

O.K. :( *sniff*

Apr 17, 2007 AnthoFlex

Tasslehoff, calm DOWN. Your shoes will get there when they get there

Apr 17, 2007 rhinoskater30

yeah and once u do youll be sooo happy, and crying with JOY and NOT HERE!!!

Apr 17, 2007 Tasslehoff

ill cry here if i want to!!!! ill cry and ill cry and ill grind and ill *BONK* ...........

Apr 17, 2007 Tasslehoff

my shoes better come tommorrow. and yes im calm.... grrr. lol

Apr 18, 2007 kobansora

Oh damn I almost forgot:

These shoes are killing my feet. Breakin them in for like, a week now? The plates work wonders and I'm going to make it groovier (duh). So light! I hope my feet don't die though...

~JJ

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

sorry. im just a little riled up. ill stop. oh, and im 14. if you wanna know why i sound so kiddy, check my SSS profile at www.sonicandpals.com/soaps click the Teams tab and SSS view team page.

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

the express are really good, just dont try concrete, they kill the damn plate fast, i stick to rails on express shoes

Apr 18, 2007 kobansora

Your plates are gonna die anyway... And they should be used on concrete for a bit. I mean, if you use concrete you can make deeper grooves than the stock groove. I finally learned what a real groove was after using the Slo-bros, and I realized that the groove on the Expresses aren't that deep...yet.

~JJ

Apr 18, 2007 pepsi

you have to wear a groove into the expresses...or so i've heard :P, grinding on concrete would probably make the grove deeper ;/

Apr 18, 2007 Slidey

You don't HAVE to wear a groove into the Express, but it is safer. Grinding on concrete would make a groove, they would obliterate the plates haha.

But a word of advice, with very pointy diamond shaped rails DON'T do a lot ot torqued grinds or else your plate will get a dent (my poor chaos =[ )

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

a package came today, and my dad and i have the same name so... i opened it and guess what was there? AN EXTERNAL MEMORY UNIT. grrr.

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

*sniff* i need pvc pipe. that would make me feel better. to know i have something to grind on when i get my shoes. 12 feet long. yeah. no 13!! yeah my lucky number. hehe

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

thanks for the advice guys (and gals if any are out there). its nice to know ill be joining a community of so many nice people.

Apr 18, 2007 guero12

The package that my Express came in was taped with a tape that had the SOAP logo on it.

Apr 18, 2007 SonicSoaper

Same here. It was pretty sweet.

Apr 18, 2007 sam

All my soap stuff that I gave gotten from steve has come witht the soap tape.

Apr 18, 2007 AnthoFlex

Mine too, i thought it was a sticker

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

im getting mine from SSS so I dont know if itll have that or not. hmmm. I wonder if SOAP profited off of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I mean, the name was EVERYWHERE!! *random generator working at 79%*

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

didnt that game get the word out about soap shoes? in my area i am iteraly the only soaper and who knows about them, but at my highschool i got mad people to get into soap and now most of them want it, some asked if my expresses were heelys, i got mad when some people asked that, wet planks are the besst to grind on, just thought u should know

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

wet wooden planks??

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

hell yea just now i came from soap planks in the backyard, theyere wet because it was raining like hell on sunday night

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

"i came from *soaping* planks in the backyard"

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

weird. what do you stand em on end or what? are they like 2x4s?

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

thicker than that, like 6 inch wide and 5 inch thick, i grind on the edge, r u new to soaping?

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

new as cloned monkeys. havent even got my SOAPs. so you basically grind on the corner of a long block of wood?

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

yea easily, the plank was 10 feet long, have u seen soap videos? u can grind ledges check em out on youtube

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

gotcha. thanks for the tips man.

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

so far all I have to grind is an old 4 foot snap-together x-treme rail i got at target.

Apr 18, 2007 SpiderSoaper

alright, but an expert can probably help out better, ive only been soaping for a week now

Apr 18, 2007 Tasslehoff

me even shorter than that. although i did have some old skate shoes with a curve near the arch. I got the soles wet and slid down a metal T-post i put on a pile of rocks. hehe.

Apr 19, 2007 kobansora

Wood? Get something better lol, because wood is slower than most things I've grinded on.

~JJ

Apr 19, 2007 SpiderSoaper

well this was some damn good wood, it was really fast, and like i said it was wet so it went fast

Apr 19, 2007 Tasslehoff

I GOT MY SHOES!!! yay! im so happy. *sob* YAY!! im sooooo sweaty. Ive done a frontside, backside, powerslide??, and UFO. tried a royale. didnt work too well. fell on my a**. lol.

Apr 21, 2007 Joshua3109

awesome

Apr 29, 2007 kobansora

I love these shoes.

~JJ

Apr 29, 2007 Tasslehoff

COOL! I learned royales and farfs on my 2nd day of SOAPing! my self esteem has been raised to moderate.

May 31, 2007 Locke

It might just be me, but it seems like wearing any sort of a deep groove into these would cause the Soap logo in the center of the plate to stop your grinds. Why is that there, anyway? o_O

May 31, 2007 xJeremiahx

I always thought the same thing

May 31, 2007 AnthoFlex

It is just you Locke. Believe me, you will never Grind a groove into that part of the plate. Where you want your grooves are on the outside and inside edges of the plate. It is almost impossible to wear down the middle of the plate into the O. And if you do, the O wont brake you, it would be torn up by then

Jun 1, 2007 RamenRadio

Maybe I'm thinking stupid, but maybe you can carve a groove in there.

Jun 1, 2007 Mart

You want a groove running from each edge and through the centre of the plate, Antho. A groove is to lock you in during your grinds, and you'll want that stability on all grinds, not just torqued ones

Jun 1, 2007 RamenRadio

um... I'm pretty sure that he was saying it should be especially for torqued grinds....

Jun 1, 2007 AnthoFlex

True true

Jun 21, 2007 MusicSoaper

Is it true that these run a size small?

Jun 21, 2007 RamenRadio

I don't know what you mean, but the sizes go up to size 12. And for your regular shoe size (not soap shoe size, regular shoe size), you should go one more up when it comes to the express.

Jun 21, 2007 MusicSoaper

Never mind then. But thanks for the info.

Jul 19, 2007 moojuiceman

i've just been reading the SaP tricktionary and was looking at the vid for sweatstance, sumthing about the heel plate or back plate but it doesnt look like the express has one, does this mean you cant do that trick with these?

Jul 19, 2007 moojuiceman

sole plate thats the one, sole plate and lateral plate

Jul 19, 2007 RamenRadio

Um it has a lateral plate, just not a sole plate. You can do pretty much any trick on a pair of express, just not sole tricks since it doesn't have a sole plate. That's it though.

Jul 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

Sweatstances can only be done on Broadside, A-side, and (if you can properly balance and distribute your wieght correctly)T-bone model Soapshoes

Jul 20, 2007 AnthoFlex

Sit tight if you want some Soaps with Sole plates. Thats what the business trip next month is about...mostly about that anywayz

Jul 20, 2007 moojuiceman

yea i'm gonna save up for when i can get some broadsides, probably gonna get some expresses anyway so i can start soaping pretty soon. cant decide between black and white ones though

Jul 20, 2007 SapAuthor

Moojuice, i would get express now, the broadside/scorchers are still an uncertanty, and the meeting isn't till this fall anyways, even if we do get them to approve, it may be a couple months till they are produced and available, IF they agree.

Jul 20, 2007 moojuiceman

gonna get some expresses soon, shame about not havin a sole plate but i probably wouldnt be able to do them anyway lol i would bail nonstop

Jul 20, 2007 Page645

2 things moonjuiceman.
1:soon broadsides are gonna be re-released so there are going to be sole plates soon.
2:if u bail depends on what u practice them on. first do it on lie a PR then work ur way when u feel comfortable with the sole plate

Jul 20, 2007 Page645

like on a PR*

Jul 20, 2007 Joshua3109

get the black colored ones. The white ones look like something a 10 yeaR OLD WOULD WEAR IN MY OPINION. Sorry bout the caps. Anyways, get the black as they look the best in my opinion aND IF i HAD MY TIMe back I would have gotten those

Jul 21, 2007 Page645

reason i dont like the white ones are because they get dirty REALLY QUICK!

Jul 22, 2007 LVsoaper12

yeah my white express get dirty like every time i soap,so i have to clean them

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

well i haven't soaped(is that the word? lol im still learning) in a long time so I'm wondering: I can either buy Scabs or Express. Which would be better for me?

Aug 19, 2007 Megashadow77

Well, Express are a solid shoe, but Scabs are pretty heavy duty, and you won't have to buy a new shoe everytime you wear a plate out.

I would get Scabs.

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

oh ok, thanks for answering lol and in case anyone was wondering how i always respond to ppl's responses to my questions, i'm kinda a shoe description stalker whenever I'm on... and I know some people are talking about how ppl need to stop bashing Heelys and that theyre as good as Soaps, or even better, some say, if you're such a Heelys freak and are gonna stand up for Heelys by sayin' stuff about Soap, then get out of this site and go find a Heelys site

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

So i was wondering. I'm a size 8 shoe, and a couple sites say that i should order a 9. Others, well, don't. What do i do?

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

o yea u might wanna post ur answer both here and on my myspace, www.myspace.com/greenfire8484

Aug 19, 2007 greenfire8484

Aug 29, 2007 vault

the only thing i hate about this shoe is if u hav white ons the front i mean the top of the toe part gets brown and u cant clean it

Aug 29, 2007 AnthoFlex

All white shoes are like that. Soapshoe or not

Aug 29, 2007 greenfire8484

yeah.... it's not just Soaps....

Aug 29, 2007 xJeremiahx

try one of those clorox bleach pens. It worked for the white lettering on my black floor mats in my car.

Aug 29, 2007 vault

uhx jerimiah ill try that

Aug 30, 2007 greenfire8484

good idea jerimiah

Aug 30, 2007 soapbofo

the express have a lot of mesh or stuffing whatever they call it and it makes the shoes fit one really tight

Sep 1, 2007 greenfire8484

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS.
I got my grays yesterday in the mail!!!!!!!!!!
they are greeeeaaaatttt. I went about ten feet down this one rail first time I tried it. I forgot how amazing these things are. But there are absolutely no rails near me. Besides practice rails and curbs.......

what do i do?

Sep 2, 2007 greenfire8484

THE GRAYS LOOK NICER IN REAL LIFE, IF I MIGHT ADD. oops caps lol

Sep 2, 2007 RamenRadio

Eh, they are ok. It's not like I thought it would be though. These shoes only go good wearing black though. It's not thrilling.

Dec 6, 2007 AnthoFlex

going back to one of the first comments on this page:

Namlhof May 4, 2006

The Express model is not a terrible shoe. It is indeed very light and you can zip down a rail/curb/etc like nothing. It's downside (as mentioned by RightFlank96) is that it can be torn up rather quickly judging by shoe standards.

I hope he isn't dissing the shoe's quality. For anyone who doubts the quality of soaps, i'm going to see if i can get the Clinic In A Can video up soon.

Dec 7, 2007 RamenRadio

XD

He doesn't know what he's talking about. Not exactly that is.

He's assuming that the plate doesn't have enough nylon to be worn away.

I've grinded on a lot of curbs and ledges with the express. I think it's better off on rails (especially square rails).

However, nonetheless, it works. I got a small groove in the plate, but it hasn't gotten down to the soap O.

Not yet that is, but AJ's did.

Dec 7, 2007 Altman

And now they're happily resting in retirement on my shelf. Those shoes gave me a good ride.

Dec 7, 2007 AnthoFlex

How are your goas treating you?

Dec 7, 2007 Altman

Quite well. I'd like to get some more plates though.

Dec 8, 2007 Page645

i need a pair of goas bad.......

Dec 8, 2007 Page645

woops wrong shoe lmao!!!!!!!!!!!

Feb 12, 2008 spamincan

Feb 12, 2008 Page645

Feb 12, 2008 Kain

Feb 19, 2008 Spano565

Man i love these shoes they just work so damn good.

Feb 19, 2008 Soapdreamer

Hey kain how come a few of your posts are sometimes just empty space.

Also I r sick. Had convulsions or something with lack of balance and general twitchiness.

Feb 19, 2008 Spano565

Haha yeah sometimes his keyboard messes up but it's ok.

Feb 19, 2008 RamenRadio

You'd know jackass :D

Feb 19, 2008 Kain

it's not my keyboard....idk what it is.

But some of my comments are cut off.

Mar 6, 2008 Soapdreamer

The wheel makes the shoe uncomfortable. You can't go everywhere with a wheel in you shoes and when its out the hole is still there.
Soaps are more natural for the design of a shoe
and feel much better for going around.

Mar 27, 2008 Creston

is there anywhere you can still get soap shoes

Mar 27, 2008 mets603412

sssoapshop.com

Mar 27, 2008 Creston

thanks

Mar 27, 2008 Kain

Soapdreamer,
I know what you mean. My squeakys feel awesome. The only bad thing is they're a little too big for me, and my heel slides around =(

Mar 27, 2008 RamenRadio

hope you try tying your laces REALLY tight

Mar 27, 2008 Kain

yeah, as tight as I can. It's the heel. They're about half a size too big for me, but I'm getting some new gel heel cups that are supposed to prevent slipping.

Mar 27, 2008 Megashadow77

yeah, I have some of those gel heel cups....

I never used them for that, but they feel great! =D

Mar 28, 2008 Revengasaur

My expresses are now 100% dead. The plate on the leading foot has worn all the way through, and they no longer slide. Goodnight sweet prince.

Mar 28, 2008 wyattpeterson

I have trouble with too much speed on big steep kink rails so I'm going to start ducktaping them

Mar 28, 2008 wyattpeterson

great shoes I just wish I could get the plates that slide slow...I also got bored of the grey so I colored my express' with sharpie black and blue they look badass .... U guys will see when I finish the next half of my video ..........here's the first half if u haven't seen it already youtube.com/lambbone24

Mar 31, 2008 shay101

Does sssoapshop still sell these?

Mar 31, 2008 mets603412

Apr 3, 2008 Joshua3109

Got a second pair coming guys haha

Apr 9, 2008 wyattpeterson

my next pair of shoes are going to be those white expresses :)

Apr 9, 2008 Joshua3109

White Expresses look very childish in my opinion, I own a pair and I dont recommend getting them unless evryoneelse wears childish looking shoes haha. I ordered the black ones because the look at bit more "mature"

Apr 9, 2008 wyattpeterson

lol thats wack ... im going to paint mine gold or somthing :p

Apr 9, 2008 mets603412

black is pretty plain and tasteless

Apr 9, 2008 wyattpeterson

yea man thats why im getting the white ones and modifing them to my liking

Apr 9, 2008 wyattpeterson

yea man thats why im getting the white ones and modifing them to my liking

Apr 9, 2008 mets603412

and honestly you don't HAVE to be mature to soap it's not like it matters just wear whatever you think looks cool

Apr 9, 2008 wyattpeterson

lol exactly mets..its not what they look like its how you use them son

Apr 10, 2008 Joshua3109

I never thought of painting them, and ya what you said about black being plain and tasteless is pretty true but I think they look better then the whites

Apr 15, 2008 shay101

just got mine yeseterday

Apr 15, 2008 Franticfred

gah i just need the friggin cash to get em!!! and how heavy are they? like i'm gonna need a comparison (^_^)

They're extremely light. They're perfect for getting up to handrails

Apr 15, 2008 Franticfred

aight koo i cant wait to get some money for em!

Apr 15, 2008 wyattpeterson

Apr 16, 2008 rhinoskater30

Too bad it's the only thing available right now, except eBay. But I don't necessarily want used shoes from someone else.

Apr 17, 2008 misterterse94

lol just ordered mine from SSS. im starting as soon as i get my expresses. so b4 that, can nyonegive me some tips ^^ much obliged!
P.S. new to the forums, too!
P.S.S. how long till they get here? i live in new york
thnx, cant wait to soap with some of you. 'sept ill be on my ass most of the time, lol

Apr 21, 2008 Joshua3109

Ill give you a few
1. Do not walk through mud or over extremely rocky and root filled trails in the woods as your poor plates will get beat up.
2. Search everywhere NOW for a long pipe to grind as your gonna want to grind stuff as soon as you get them.
3 When you jump on the rail if you want more control make sure your back foot hits the rail before your front foot as hitting it with your front foot first will result in more speed but less control.
4. Put 70% of your weight on your back foot (roughly)
5. Hit the rail with a "chick" "chick" sound, you want your plates to hit the rail one after the other, its a beautiful sound haha
6. Practice and practice

Apr 22, 2008 misterterse94

lol thnx, ill make sure to watch for that chick chick sound, :D I've already found a couple of rails, i could play with when i get my shoes.muaha, i cant wait to impress all my friends. im sure happy i found out what soap shoes are!

Apr 22, 2008 wyattpeterson

hell yea man soap till you drop and tell your friends where you got them

Apr 22, 2008 MiTcH1337

Apr 27, 2008 Franticfred

hey antho i ordered my Expresses on thursday and got the priority shipping which is like 2-3 days or w/e should i expect them on monday or tuesday?

Apr 27, 2008 AnthoFlex

gah allright i hope they come tomorow though

Apr 27, 2008 Joshua3109

if you live outside of the states they might take 10 - 15 days, inside of the states is oinly a few days because of fucking customs

Apr 27, 2008 Franticfred

ya i'm in MN so they should be here soon

Apr 29, 2008 Arrakis

Hey AnthoFlex, what color were yours?

I ordered some (black) that didn't have those windows either. I'm gonna exchange them for smaller whites so was wanting the windows in that color especially... Maybe it's just on the black soled ones.

Man, I haven't soaped since back in '98 when I had some Cleans. I'm anxious to find out how much skill I've got left now, 9 or 10 years later!

Apr 29, 2008 AnthoFlex

The express don't have the bubble from sizes 10-12. For some bizarre reason, HSL doesn't make them.

But with or without the bubble is both the same. They both feel the same shock absorb and they're super comfy

To Arrakis:

I have 3 colors of Express

Apr 29, 2008 Arrakis

True, but those bubble things just "pop" style-wise on the white ones, you know? lol

Cool, I have small feet (9 US). Thanks for the quick reply.

Ah, and I had my numbers wrong; I guess I soaped from Fall '98 to early '00. I'm mainly anxious to try out these new-fangled grindplates.

Apr 29, 2008 wyattpeterson

you will be happy with them man

Apr 29, 2008 wyattpeterson

you will be happy with them man

Apr 30, 2008 AnthoFlex

Those things will never "pop", trust me. They're made for you to drop down from high handrails, trust me, they wont pop

Apr 30, 2008 aughey456

i wish i can get the express' Spano tells me thier really good

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

Ok it's final i just talked with my Dad, (I'm ordering the express on friday because they'll ship faster scince you guys ship on weekends.) he says this friday he'll fill out the money order for the expresses and i'll give him the money to send out to steve.I'm getting black express size 10 scince i'm a 9.I've been saving up money for a while now to get these shoes.(Finally.)After i order the express, i'll order the stickers & cards from Renny. They're $5 right?)

Apr 30, 2008 AnthoFlex

Dude, steve wont ship the shoes if the money order hasnt gotten there.

If you send it friday, it'll get there saturday, or monday, gotta wait for it to clear, then he can ship em out

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

What day would be good?So it can get to me quicker, i'm gonna use priority shipping. Also ya know the last page of the ordering process when it shows the, paypal
money order
cash when i click on money order it has to boxes, what do i have to put in there?

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

*2

Apr 30, 2008 AnthoFlex

You dont have to put anything on there, its just to seperate that section. I have no idea why it does that.

You should send it out tomorrow if anything

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

Thanks man, i'll call my dad and tell him to send the order tomorrow. Then after i send that i can fill out the form.

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

Renny could you post a pic of your black express, with the grays for the hell of it.I'd like to see what they both look like.(Even tho i know how the black ones look.)If you don't have the time or something, just let me know.

Apr 30, 2008 AnthoFlex

I would...but the blacks are super worn and dirty, and the gray ones are just dirty. the best picture of the grays is the one on the SSsoapshop under the gray section. Those are pics of mine when they were brand new

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

ok

Apr 30, 2008 Spano565

I'll get grays they'll probably look fuckin' sick in person.

May 26, 2008 scuzzydontask

I just ordered these. I agressive skate, but I lost my wax, is there anything I can use instead to grind my curb?

May 27, 2008 Franticfred

just got to your local drugstore and pick up some cheap candles for wax. thats what i do. unless the curb is painted then you shouldnt even need wax

May 27, 2008 Franticfred

go*

May 27, 2008 scuzzydontask

Good idea. Wierd, I asked my mom if we had any wax and she said the only thing we have is candles. I actually tried using soap. It didn't work with my skates.

May 27, 2008 scuzzydontask

Is it true that they only ship the shoes out on the weekend?

May 27, 2008 scuzzydontask

Is it true that they only ship the shoes out on the weekend?

May 27, 2008 scuzzydontask

Didn't mean to post that twice. £
l

Jun 7, 2008 kevinkrg6

These grind really nice. Good lock on.

Sep 27, 2008 kirbyguy22

Pretty sick =D Got a few pairs at one of the ROSS stores nearby.

Dec 2, 2008 Revengasaur

Just got new expresses today. I must say, now that I know the difference, expresses are amazing plates.

Feb 9, 2009 Joshua3109

Its too bad they dont make these anymore

Feb 12, 2009 NagoyaFox

I think I want these to be my first grind shoes. Im going to ebay! I love the White!

Nov 16, 2009 sylonbroadsides

guys these are good shoes to start off with, try to get them

Nov 17, 2009 Brad

Is there any canadian website that sells them? eBay is too unreliable.

Nov 17, 2009 sylonbroadsides

I don't know about that, but there once was a website that sold grooves. I never took the time to buy a pair though.

Nov 18, 2009 Brad

You still got the site? I don't care what kind of shoes they are, I just want to keep on grinding ;)

Nov 22, 2009 Brad

Do you know if Heelys shoes are true to their size? I mean like with Soaps, you had to size up to get a pair that fit. But on that site the only shoes they have in my sizes are Flows and their size 12 which is the size I need. I'm afraid to order a pair.

Nov 23, 2009 sylonbroadsides

the heelys shoes are the same sizing as the soap shoes express, groove, and scam. The older styles that aren't HSL shoes are actually a little bigger than the express size (ex. the sylons size 12 are slightly bigger than the express size 12, but not a greater amount.

What size shoe are you Brad, and what king of shoes do you usually wear?

Nov 23, 2009 Brad

I'm a size 12, the Soaps I usually wear are Sylons.

Nov 23, 2009 sylonbroadsides

ok, if those fit you perfect then you should get a size 12 express/any HSL shoe.

If they are loose, you should probably bump down to an 11, but that's only if you REALLY need to tighten the laces in order to get the shoes to fit.

Nov 23, 2009 sylonbroadsides

by the way brad, what's the site you found that sells flows? I thought those shoes were discontinued.

Nov 23, 2009 jackswhack

yea plz tell b/c i need a pair of soaps or sumthin

Nov 24, 2009 Brad

Not Soap Flows, Heelys Flows. That's why I asked if they were good for their sizes =P

http://1800wwsports.stores.yahoo.net//20heflshwgr.html

Nov 24, 2009 sylonbroadsides

I know what you meant, and the sizing is the same as express because it's an HSL shoe.

Do what you need to do to get shoes that can grind, but most of the heely shoes are uncomfortable. Soaps are definitely more comfortable, but if you find a pair of heely grind shoes then get them. All grind shoes are rare nowadays

Nov 24, 2009 jackswhack

oh weird they have 2 models wit the same name

Nov 25, 2009 Brad

Hmm. I might pick up a pair for christmas. Theres a store near by that sells Heelys, idk if they have grind shoes though. I'll have to check.

Dec 3, 2009 Timuukun

Huh...this site has actually piqued my interest in Soaps. I knew about them for a long time from SA2, but I've usually been more of a Heelyer...in fact, I came across this site in the first place looking for reviews of the Heelys Torch (since it's the closest thing to the Pro's I just ordered).

So how do these shoes compare? I've never done anything with grind plates before, so I'm kinda nervous about it. I bet you guys all think that I wasted my money and should just go out and buy Expresses instead, huh?

Dec 3, 2009 sylonbroadsides

don't worry about it man! get what you need to get, it's ok. Soap Shoes are usually more comfortable, but torches and other heelys are very similar to the express. It's not a waste of money, it's just different.

Grinding is going to take just a little bit of practice, try and grind on some painted curbs and ledges. Use paraffin or bees wax on what you grind on.

Anything else, just ask in the forums man! :)

Dec 3, 2009 jackswhack

these do seem lik nice shoez

Dec 4, 2009 Timuukun

Thanks for the advice, Sylon. I'll need it :).

Can't wait for Christmas now!

Dec 6, 2009 sylonbroadsides

anytime man, and I can't wait for christmas myself

Dec 6, 2009 jackswhack

me 3

Dec 6, 2009 Brad

hopefully i'll be getting some heelys flows. its not soap, but hey, gotta get grinding out there.

Dec 9, 2009 sylonbroadsides

yeah true, I might actually buy a pair myself, express plates are pretty good

Dec 9, 2009 Timuukun

I think that the Heelys I ordered have express plates, but I'm not sure. I couldn't find any reviews of the Pro's at all. Still...HSL is only making the expresses as far as I know, so it's probably a safe bet.

Dec 10, 2009 Brad

whered you order yours from?

Dec 10, 2009 Timuukun

http://123skateboard.stores.yahoo.net/heprosehiper1.html

That's the one. From what I can tell, it's pretty similar to the Torch in most respects, and that would mean an Express plate.

Dec 10, 2009 Brad

wow they have some in my size. grind n rolls though. anyone know if theyre any good?

Dec 10, 2009 sylonbroadsides

Pro series has express plates, pro series is supposed to be a good shoe.

Grind n rolls do not have an express plate, and are a waste of money. I bought mine retail price too, and I feel seriously ripped off (grind this, but they are the same shoe).

Stick to something with express plates, like pro series or heelys flow.

Dec 11, 2009 Brad

Aright. I want a shoe I can just dick around with. I'm too afraid to do that with my sylons since i dont know how long it'd be untill i get more soaps :|

Dec 11, 2009 Timuukun

You have Sylons? Lucky...

I won't know what the Pro's are like until after Christmas, but I'll post a detailed review when I get them, if Broox or someone could add a page for them. But...at $100 a pop, Pro's probably aren't the best "dicking around" shoe, would be my guess.

Dec 11, 2009 Timuukun

BTW, what size are you?

Dec 11, 2009 sylonbroadsides

You can get the pro series, they just aren't as great as a pair of shoes with express (torch, flow, express, etc.)

Pro series is supposed to be "better" than the torches, but pro series have express so I'd assume they are at least the same.

Dec 11, 2009 Brad

Size 12. So 13 in Soaps

Dec 11, 2009 Brad

But if i do get them, are they going to get torn to bits if i hit a curb? i dont wanna be wasting money.

Dec 11, 2009 Timuukun

Honestly, I don't know. It might be hard to find a Pro in size 13 anyway...I had to look very hard to even find a size 9 (my size). If you can wait until after Christmas, I'll give you the full report. If not...well...I might just have to sneak into the present room and take them for a midnight spin ;)

Dec 12, 2009 sylonbroadsides

No dude the express plates last a while.

The flaw with the grind this grind plate is that its more thin, and the lock-in isn't great.

And Brad, you're actually supposed to put grooves in your plate. It's better for lock-in and breaking, team relate made that method a hit.

Dec 12, 2009 Timuukun

A groove, huh...? What's the best way to get one? Which surface should I grind the most when I first start using my Pro's to get one?

Dec 13, 2009 sylonbroadsides

I'll make a quick post about it in the forum.

Dec 13, 2009 sylonbroadsides

made the post, and also there's some express for sale on ebay, you should check out the listing.

Dec 14, 2009 Timuukun

I am now the proud owner of said listing on eBay. w00t!

Dec 14, 2009 Brad

I wish people would ship more shoes to Canada. :(

Dec 15, 2009 Tedd

I'd obtain them for you and ship them for you (You'd be paying of course).. But anything shipped to/from the US goes to Canada as well.

Dec 15, 2009 Brad

Not always on eBay though.

Dec 15, 2009 Timuukun

Yeah...you're way out on the west coast, huh? Well...if you ever find something on ebay that you want forwarded, I'd be only too happy. Just email me, and we could work out the shipping arrangements.

I just wish I had a UK contact that could do the same for me if I were to get something from Rawk...

Dec 15, 2009 Brad

That might work. And yeah, it's really shitty that rawk is from the uk.

Dec 16, 2009 Timuukun

Isn't it? I've gotta look up that long-lost aunt of mine who supposedly lives in the UK to see if she can forward me any stuff...

And yeah, I'd be happy to help with the shipping. eBay's been pretty barren in terms of SOAPs, though...I'll tell you if anything comes up that's even remotely close to your size, k?

Dec 16, 2009 sylonbroadsides

yeah it sucks that rawk won't send to the US. Be sure to try and pay with paypal though dude, to make sure you get your soaps.

Dec 16, 2009 Brad

Yeah, it sucks though, towards the end of the summer, this guy kept putting up size 13 Sylons, Ordnances and Tanks, there were like ten pairs of each. I feel sorta stupid only buying one pair.

Dec 16, 2009 Tedd

Yeah, I'm gonna be working during the daytime and stuff, so I may not see the listing, if at all. If it goes up, then chances are I'm gonna be at work.. Though I may have to request a day off of work during the day that the auction ends. Of course assuming that my manager lets me.

Dec 16, 2009 Brad

Well, if that site of yours works out there will be no problem.

Dec 16, 2009 Timuukun

*Fingers and toes still crossed hard*

Dec 17, 2009 Tedd

Yeah, we can all hope. I think I may have to send another request and instead of reply by email, I'll have reply by phone. Just to see if maybe it'll work better for me.

Dec 17, 2009 Brad

Hell, whats the site called? I'll phone 'em right now.

Dec 17, 2009 Tedd

Er.. It's like Soviet Russia. You don't call them, they call you. xD

Dec 17, 2009 Timuukun

That applies to Broadway theatrical agencies too...

Did you check the last time that site was updated, Tedd? We're not getting the fastest responses here, and my hope is starting to falter...

Dec 18, 2009 Timuukun

On a somewhat different note:

I got my Expresses today, and although I'm not allowed to use them till after Christmas, I put them side-by-side with the Heelys Pro's for comparison, and...

THEY'RE THE EXACT SAME SHOE!

I'm not joking...the only difference is that one has a wheel in the heel, and one doesn't (and some minor asthetics). Way to be original, there, HSL...

Dec 18, 2009 Brad

That's not the point. The point is you're now representing SOAP and not Heelys ;P

Dec 18, 2009 Timuukun

Very much true dat'.

And the first thing I do when I get sticker paper is cover over all the HSL symbols with SOAP symbols (on my Pro's, that is).

I may still use the wheels for messing around (after all, I am kinda a convert from HSL), but I've now got some Expresses for my serious work.

Dec 19, 2009 Tedd

Heh. Wish I had something to use at the very least. x.x I refuse to buy any Heely's. I'd love to own a pair of Expresses, but I can't find any anywhere. Just something to start with would be nice.

Dec 19, 2009 Brad

Just keep looking on eBay, I look like every other day. There's bound to be something.

Dec 20, 2009 Timuukun

Me too. I've got the "Soap Shoes" query saved, and I get emails every time something new pops up. So...I guess it's just a wait until something new turns up.

Dec 20, 2009 Brad

Lmao, Right on.

Dec 20, 2009 Tedd

I'll give them a call later on to see if I can talk to them about it. Not that I'm impatient, it's that there is a contradiction in their site and I wanna investigate it further. (Damn Phoenix Wright is rubbing off on me) Hopefully their "normal business hours" include Sundays.

Dec 21, 2009 Brad

Sounds good.

:)

Dec 21, 2009 Timuukun

Yes! Phoenix Wright FTW!

Report back to us when you get your info, pal. Mr. Edgeworth doesn't like to be kept waiting.

;)

Dec 22, 2009 sylonbroadsides

Get whatever you guys need, if you can grind with it, buy it (well try not to get grind this haha).

if it has an express plate, snatch it.

Dec 23, 2009 Timuukun

You know...I wish that my feet had stopped growing at about size 5. It's easy to find SOAPs five and under...there are about 6 sellers on eBay hawking bulk shipments of Nitros in size 1-5.

As for those of us with normal feet, however...things are tougher. BTW, Travis, wouldn't anything with the Grind Rails plate be a worse fate than the Grind This?

Oh, and less than three days till I get my Expresses!

Dec 23, 2009 sylonbroadsides

haha congrats man.

I think those grind plates are the same. If you see any HSL shoes with grind plates that are on the grind this, then those grind plates are really bad. It's mad flat, and they are still pretty bad if you even manage to get grooves into the shoes.

If they have an express plate, snatch 'em

Dec 23, 2009 Brad

If I could, I would buy ANYTHING with a grind plate. Too bad there's not even a Heelys dealer near me, I rely solely on someone putting some up on eBay.

Dec 27, 2009 Timuukun

Heavens alive, man, where do you live? The Canadian boondocks?

Then again...even I'd have trouble finding 13's where I live, and there are a couple of Heelys dealers around me. I'll keep looking for you...I get emails every time someone posts anything remotely related to SOAP on eBay.

So far, though, all I've seen are a few very expensive designer bars of soap. I suppose that's one way to go...tape a bar of wet soap to the bottom of a shoe...but somehow I don't think that'd work too well ;)

Dec 27, 2009 Brad

Lmao, close. I am Canadian, but I guess I shouldn't say theirs no dealer near me. There's a city like an hour away from me that has a mall that sells Heelys but I haven't been there yet. I might go take a ride up there tomorrow and check it out.

Jan 6, 2010 Timuukun

I finally got my pair the other day for my birthday! I take back everything I said about the Expresses being the same as the Heelys Pro...Expresses kick the Pro's butt so hard!!! They really only look alike; that's it.

First of all, they're amazingly more comfortable than the Pro's. They actually mould to the shape of the foot, and all Heelys feel like wooden blocks in comparison. And second, they're a hell of a lot more stable. I soaped the picnic table I usually practice on the first day I got them, and it was just smooth as silk. No imminent sensations of doom like with the Heelys,

I can't wait to keep on using them! Unfortunately, however, I've gotta lay low for a week or so. I had my first major wipeout on New Year's Eve...and I think I'll wait until the five stitches come out of my chin before I go back at it.

Jan 6, 2010 Brad

Haha, I love wiping out. It just means there's room for improvement ;P.

And as for that place that sells Heelys near me, the do have some Torches, but the biggest they go is size 10. :( I'm seriously bummed.

Jan 6, 2010 Timuukun

I don't mind the wiping out as much as the stitches ;D. Still, it could've been worse. I could've lost a tooth or something...now THAT would've sucked.

And...I'm sorry, man. I'll keep looking in the US for you, but you've probably got a better selection than I do if you found Torches at all. I don't ever recall seeing anything with a grind plate in my market.

Still...I'd still consider myself lucky if I were you. You've got Sylons! That's GOTTA be better than a pair of slightly-beat-up Expresses and some low-quality Heelys knock-offs!

Jan 6, 2010 Brad

Haha, yeah but that's exactly it. I'm far too protective of them. I could really use a pair of Heelys that I could just tear up and not care about it.

Jan 6, 2010 sylonbroadsides

yeah dude it's just like what was said in tWo: if you never fall, you're not trying hard enough.

Jan 22, 2010 Tedd

Well, now that I won my pair of Expresses.. Before I go out and buy some BBK's, can the plates be removed? By the looks of it, they can't. Just wanna get a bit of grinding info on them before I ruin them or something. Lol.

If I can remove them, I might keep them on for a little to try them out, then see how it is. Even if they aren't, then what grindplates should I get in case I get some shoes that have removable ones?

Jan 22, 2010 Brad

Express plates are non-removable, sorry bud. But I've never used anything but BBKs so I cant really give a good comparison.

Feb 1, 2010 Tedd

I just got my shoes three days ago, and man are they comfy! Sadly I have nowhere to grind yet but if it's not snowing later today, I might go take a little walk to the park and try them out there.

Feb 1, 2010 sylonbroadsides

Express are decent shoes, you don't always need to remove the grind plates man. You actually should wear down your grind plate with grooves for better lock in and to break on your shoes.

Apr 27, 2010 allie4251

Hey guys, I checked out http://1800wwsports.stores.yahoo.net//20heflshwgr.html to buy some soaps and it kept telling me to put my credit card info in however there was no spot for me to put it. I really want these shoes! Are there any other websites that sell them??

Apr 27, 2010 Brad

Well, there's ebay. Or if you live in UK or Europe you could always check Rawk.

Oct 28, 2010 Revengasaur

Just scored another pair of these. Feelsgoodman.

Oct 31, 2010 Brad

Nice. I've been dying to try these out.

Mar 25, 2011 NostalgicSpeed

Damn it, I'm looking everywhere for the white ones! I can't find it in my size of 10 or something. Crap.

Mar 29, 2011 Brad

bah, the one place where I thought might have them was that website up there about five posts, but all they have in size tens are grooves. which, in all fairness, are pretty well the same shoe. same grind plate, sole and every thing only difference is the style. hate to break it to you, but ebay is lookin like your only choice

Apr 4, 2011 Ivan1230

Feb 21, 2013 wyattpeterson

we welcome you with open arms .. haha

Feb 21, 2013 Revengasaur

Expresses were my first pair of soaps too, followed quickly by petrol Ords. I love express plates for rails. Amazing lock and feel out of the box. Just be careful on ledges.

Nov 4, 2013 mcgrinder2011

This may sound like a very stupid question on a random thread, but would anyone happen to have a pair of Maxwells?

Mar 14, 2014 LIGERZERO7

Back to the express! Umm... stupid question but for anyone with expresses did anyone have to grind through their lock on plastic? I know their mostly for rails but I remember seeing someones express plates without it lock on plastic and said it locks on perfectly every time... If anyone did this do you think I should do these to mine?

Mar 17, 2014 mcgrinder2011

only if you're grinding fat rails bro. if it's thin, just wear another lockin groove and you'll be fine.

Apr 11, 2014 LIGERZERO7

Just noticed... Am I like the only guy who cant hit curbs or ledges with these? The rubber keeps stopping me haha.

Apr 13, 2014 mcgrinder2011

It's the same for me when I'm a bit rusty and hitting stuff with my Sylons. I just smack it with my fore foot or something and hop right off lol.

Apr 25, 2014 LIGERZERO7

The sole sticks out a bit more then my other shoes. Only thing I can hit well would be a ufo because anything else and the rubber stops me completely.(unless I wax it a ton)Probably not used to these yet.

Apr 25, 2014 mcgrinder2011

Doesn't look like it apparently from what you said. You'll get better though . Just keep practicing.

Feb 4, 2015 LIGERZERO7

Time to get a new pair of these :)
Wish I wasn't so stupid and used these things for pe... Whatever it was worth it I guess. The rail they had was pretty good it was just like hip height so it was completely easy to jump on. To bad I got caught. :D

Feb 4, 2015 Waffle

à have the Best rail ever near my bros house. Almost the size of your wasted

Feb 5, 2015 LIGERZERO7

Nice lol.
