Grindplate: UHF Original

The Soap Scab was one of Soap's longest running models. People either like the old-school styling of the Scabs, or they hate it. Anyway, the Scabs have quadruple stitching and smooth leather outer. To keep your foot in the place, the Scab features a premolded heel counter, and for those big drops and long walks the Scabs have a polyurethane sockliner for maximum comfortability. The only drawback to the shoe (besides the original grindplate) was that it was very heavy. The Scabs have been one of Soap's most popular models, and comes in a large variety of colors. Scab's come styling with replacable Original grind plates.

Newer releases featured the Slo Bro Grindplate.

I just got some black and dark grey scabs at gadzooks for just $30! I love em! The are really smooth looking and great on rails. The plates are slowbros and are really durable on curbs, ledges, benches, etc. The shoes are very comfortable too.

Overall they are a great shoes and great plates.

It sucks though....i want Scabs....i personally think that Scabs are the best looking ones (except for the scorchers) But they dunt deliver to the U.S. Does anyone know a site where they deliver to the U.S?

I honestly think that if the scorchers are SOnic's shoes....then the Scabs are Shadows..if u airbrush the smoke scab and give it a red plate... lmao XP

I can't picture what you're seeing, man... But keep in mind, Shadow doesn't have real shoes. The white on those them look like a glossy plastic, and they have mini thrusters on the bottoms, so that his feet don't touch the ground when he runs (infact, when he runs, he appears to be rollerblading). And his shoes don't have grindplates; just a large arch.

Personally these are my favorite Soap shoe. They are a real eye catcher. I found a pair on katesskates.co.uk for 52 pounds. Believe
it or not the Scabs on that website are orange/black pretty kool.

AnthoFlex's Shadow Soaps mod is good but there is no yellow on Shadow's shoes, just red. Maybe for the mini-thrusters on the bottoms but you'd have to paint the bottoms of the shoes for that effect.

Rick, lol i think you got hte pair that i was getting for my friend, the bidding end and i didn't even know it lol. oh well, i'm keeping an eye out for another pair of size 10s for him, not sure if the broadsides will be confy (although they are sweet with the slipknot plate.)

i love this shoe, my friend has a pair of navy blue/white scabs and there just awesome. the shoe itself feels realy comfortable and the design is one of my favorites, (all time this and the sqeaky cleans imperial, designs are the best looking shoe with replacable grind plates.)
the pair i used had a bbk and a uhf plate (each used respectively at a different time.) i have to say the BBK is one of my favorites.

I lost a bid on a pair of these from southernbelt on e-bay and now im back to looking for some shoes with replacable plates. (i REALLY don't want my schorchers to die.)

This was my first pair of soaps back in 2000'ish. Bah sucks I grew out of them! I think there size 9 if I remember. I don't remember if I still have them but I believe I kept these babies. Oh do I so miss the old days of curb surfing. I wish I had a size 11 shoe *sob*

i own these shows in navy blue/white. There nice lookin show but the grind plates that come with them are terrible! They dont slide as well as you would think but they work so what the hell.

they come with UHF originals but i'm gonna put on some slo-bros or bbk's...I'll probably smash the UHF originals with a hammer.

HSL plates aren't made out of delrin there just basic poly nylon blend which explains why curbs just eats it up. Its like grinding on PVC pipe basically

*points up at scabs* I had size 9, loved the UHF plate and still am used to its gnarliness. The lock on express plate is nice but just interferes on curbs and ledges and gets all eaten up. Well UHF plates are basic thats why I like them.. there are no tricks to the user its all their own skill and mastery like heeling...

Snikas your shoes must be messed or something unless your plates are really crappy. My brother Namlhof has the scabs and he has Slo-bro plates and it slides very nice.

yo i got mine off ebay for $40 and they came with crappy UHF plates. if anyone wants to get new plates do not get UHF they blow. Trust me you will have a more difficlut time grinding with the UHF's.

i just got a pair off of ebay for $30 and they came with slo bro's I had mine on for less then two hours at school and have gotten into to trouble twice one time for going down the stairwell rail during class change and second for setting up a couple of tables sideways and just messin around on them lol over all these shoes are pretty amazing the slo bro plates are alot better then the originals that the older models came with they lock pretty well in my opinion

My first Soaps were these, once I ground down the grindplates I bought Boltar's because I didn't know they were replaceable because I didn't read the label properly lol.

I got the black and white ones, thier the best style I think.

My friend grew out of his Navy ones and gave em to me. Now i have 1 Black/White (rare) and 1 Navy/White (common). I'm thinking about selling the Navy ones. (they are brand-new looking) But i'm not too sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

My uncle got a pair of moss scabs off ebay, he freaking loves them.

He wonders why I like soap shoes so much, so he decides to get a pair for himself to see what it's all about.

He thinks they are the most comfortable shoes in the world or something XD. He might consider grinding, he's not so sure yet :D

Ah man, their my favorite soap shoe, even though I've only owned 3 pairs so far haha. Their so much tougher than the goas and I think they'll last a really long time. I was worried at first that the size 11 would be to tight, but their actually a perfect fit.

I'd recommend the bbks, slo bros make you grind a lot slower until you wear in your plates. You can always replace the plates though.
