Grindplate: BBK

The Goas were inspired by a club in a city in Africa. They feature a sleek futuristic design and BBK grindplates. For many, the shoes have more style than functionality. These shoes feature water-proof Meat is Murder Pleather. Goas have great lace and upper-foot protection. Although there is some drawbacks to these good looking shoes, many people say that they can be stiff, even after being used for a while, and that they lack control and 'feel' when grinding a rail. Goas sport replacable BBK grind plates. The Goas are now discontinued.

Sizes: 5-13 (Mist came in 14)

Brett Dierker with a Frontside. Zack Rickey hittin a Hitting the coolest rail in Iowa City Wasted Neighbor hittin a Drunken Frontside Zack Ricky hittin a Frontside on a long, fat, kinked rail. Drunk guy attracts a crowd of people.

I got these soap shoes for christmas and i think they're cool. The grind plates are in just the right place, and the shoes look cool. They are my first pair of soaps and they are great for learning on, I've had them 3 months and I can already do unitys, fastslides, and backslides. They rock. Go buy them!!!

Chris Morris forced the development of the Fader and the Goa because he was turned away from a club in Hollywood because he didn't have proper footwear (I believe he was wearing Boltars). The Fader and Goa allowed Morris to tear up the club scene in his beloved Soap Shoes.

I don't know what you mean, "Gummy" as in a squishy rubber?

If I can recall from my friend's White Outs, they're just plain rubber soles, semi-transparent depending on which model you're looking at.

It's not "gummy". It's made of the same rubber as the rest of the sole. It's the way it is simply for stylistic reasons. Having that section a solid Color would look more impractical than the shoe already looks.

Goan food is amazing (if you like Indian food), and because it's a former Portuguese colony they've got some european influeced dishes, including some fantastic dishes that use fish......yummm...I fear I may be drifting ever so slighty off topic here.

The front part of the bottom isn't gummy. It's the same hard rubber as the rest of the soles, but they've made it a "tinted-clear" rubber.

My mists started off clear, but now they are yellow. This was the worst part of the shoe. They all fade into weird colors through time and wear.

I definitely think the Goa Mist is the best looking shoe. I just ordered a pair of Goa Mists for myself, which should be here soon. I will post some feedback on these when they arrive.

Just got my Goa Mists yesterday. Now this is my first time Soaping, but I definitely love these shoes. I got a size 12 (I wear 11) thinking they would be a little big, but they ended up fitting perfect. They have a lot of cushion and are a lot more comfortable than my normal shoes. As for the grind, they have the BBK grind plates and they rock. Pretty good rail lock on, but still enough flexibility to pull off various tricks.

Been thinking of getting a pair of Goa chernobyls, they seem pretty good. Wondering though, the contrast on the pic makes the plate look blue? I thought chernobyl had a black plate.

Well even though the bad comment they have on these shoes in the description, i dont know what is wrong with them, good looks, good lock, also if you use them and bend the sides a little you can pull off royals and Fars, I love them, and JVille, get goas theyre better

i got my pair of 12 goa mists a while ago, and i figured id tell u all about them... AWESOME SHOES, as soon as i got them and put them on, they were soo comfortable that i seriosly dont want to put on my other shoes, the plates are AWESOME, awesome lock on and all that good stuff, shoes are pimpin, look great, have a sweet mix between basketball and sk8r look, also, its winter now, so these shoes have waterproof/resistant pleather? that is great for the rain, my only shoes that no water gets in at all! i also agree w/ everything sigma said way up there...

Suede and all :O boot-like feel.

Very comfy too!

I might buy them from him though... B/c I doubt that the size 13s we ordered from Kate Skates are coming in.

lol I'm not all surprised, I'm not a huge person about sole tricks myself. Maybe it's just because those Tbones are pissing me off and I still need my Mr. Wilsons, but I dunno. Sole tricks are pretty cool though, but I kinda need a better fitted shoe for me with a sole plate until I can really decide.

yes, exactly, black and blue ones....but yea regular tricks get boring, so incase both shoes comeback, i'll get scorchers first and later get broadside, i would probably consider on getting the broadsides sooner, if they were given the new slipknotII (yea thats right i said slipknotII, i call the ones on the a-sides SlipknotII) but i dont think that HSL can put the slipknotII on broadsides..it would be cool thogh..lock in...

u know what screw it, just leave the regular plate on the broadsides, beacause then they might think that there would be no need for a-sides(incase they decide to release it afterwards).. and they look way cooler

The guy lived real close too, so I knew what he was doing lol. I don't really give a shit when it comes to money and soap shoes.

What I mean is, I'd rather have soap shoes than money. Obviously if I say anything about HSL, I'd have to consider both those and what other's views are about it.

However, I'd rather have a nice pair of shoes that I can grind of for a long long time than have some stupid pieces of paper in my pocket. :D

Oh I see what you are saying lol. I dunno, I can't say for sure unless I had the shoes in front of my face. Trust me, these pictures don't prove any soap shoes justice. Not unless you have them in real life, in front of your face, and if you soap them, you shouldn't be really saying anything about them. You really need to try them out yourself and not just go by the picture, but the actual shoe itself.

I'ma tell you right now, the Goas feel like you're walking on a cloud. The BBK plate is just like the Express but easier to screw around with grooves and such. The parts I like most is that when you remove the plates, they still look awesome and that the shoe is made with a suede material that feels hella nice.
