Grindplate: N/A

The A-sides were the second generation of shoes with the Sole grindplates. These shoes had many improvements over the broadsides and let the soaper bust out many technical tricks. However they were never released to the public due to lack of retailer interest.

The A-Sides being used that you've seen have to be from either pictures of Derek here or the St.Louis demo that Derek also did.

They only made 2 pairs in a size 9 and Derek has them.

"that guy that looks like bam margera" is Derek Brooks, the guy who runs this website and also worked for soapshoes and heelys. If you noticed, the only photos of people with these shoes are of him, derek, because he's the only person who owns them. He infact owns the ONLY two pairs made as testers/prototypes.
Also, RIIiiiiiiiiiight at the top, it says "unreleased!"....."duh".....

Lolz, last night i had a dream i had the A-sides.....They were on my shelf where i normally keep my other Soaps...i was like WTF?!? they were a way different Color scheme though.....and (dunt laugh...please) They had the little thrusters like Shadow...so yes...i was able to glide...shut up :p .....but i hit sum awesome rails....the rails werent exaggerated like dreams would normally do.....they were cool....lolz...mmmm A-sides

I believe Shadow's a fusion of the A-Sides and the Ordnances so no way does he wear a single shoe. Sonic's shoes are just BASED off of the Scorchers. As far as Heelys goes, you NEVER EVER wear them UNLESS you have no options.

actually i was one of the soap team members most in contact with the head of the company when these came out. i had some inputs on the shoe so they sent me the 2 pairs they had for testing.

this was months before retailers ever heard of the shoe.

That game is awesome with the 32x connector. Sonic spinball is a bit strange. S&K with sonic 2 attached to it is fun. Old school knuckles is the bomb. Now hes kinda weird.

Also wonder what would become of these shoes on a 3rd generation. Have B-sides these are A-sides.. all I can think of is some ultra comfortable sole plate sundae that glides on rails like astroglide..The stitching and style is unmatched by any shoe. They would be the ultimate untouchable..

Thanks for the advice AnthoFlex. By the way, Sonic Adventure 2 is the reason why I know about SOAP Shoes. It is one of my favorite games(If not my favorite). I remember seeing the SOAP logo in the game but I never really knew what it meant until about three or four years after. I never got a pair of Scorhers,
but I think grinding Sonic style is awesome.

Actually, thats wrong, ALMOST completely.

The reason retailers didnt think it would sell was NOT because of the price, but the previous popularity or the Broadside.

The Broadsides retailed at $130.00, while the A-sides were supposed to retail at about $85-$90.

The reason for the price difference is the use of material.
