Dec 20, 2006 Slidey

Sweeet, I can do that!... now for a better camera, a new photographer and photoshop! :P

Dec 20, 2006 Slidey

Backslides are actually easier on steeper rails for some reason... It's wierd, but backslides are still super sketchy

Dec 20, 2006 AnthoFlex

Sweeeet! i was in the middle of commenting when my teacher said to get back to work, im home now though lol

Yo Ryan, you still on the Soap Team right? please say that you are

Dec 20, 2006 Rynasty

I guess technically I am still on the soap team, but I really haven't done anything team member-like for Soap. I really want to start filming though and getting some good clips that Soap can use in an ad or something.

Dec 20, 2006 AnthoFlex

Yo Ryan, can you do me a favor? IM me on AIM at AnthoFlex, i need to talk to you

Dec 21, 2006 SonicSoaper

He looks like Buddha or something.

Dec 21, 2006 benz

this picture is old school

Dec 21, 2006 Rynasty

hella old school. I was still rockin the long hair, glasses, and black scams in this.

Dec 25, 2006 matrix8967

nice...i'm still having trouble with slope rails.

Dec 29, 2006 AnthoFlex

Backslides are normally done on Steeper (Vert) rails....It gives it a better look of style and some would consider it more proper.....and its easier to keep your balance IF you know what ur doing

Dec 29, 2006 Slidey

Yup, way easier!
Antho knows what he's talking about

Dec 29, 2006 AnthoFlex

even though i cant do them xP

Dec 30, 2006 SonicSoaper

Same here. -_-

Dec 30, 2006 Mart

A backslide is a backslide whether it's on a vert or horizontal rail; doing it vert doesn't make it 'proper'. It takes a lot of balls to bust a backslide on a horizontal rail, anyone who's seen the clip from tWo of Danny Lynch landing a really sticky backslide on a horizontal rail will know what I'm talking about

In any case, backslides are all about balance and control. And freestyle looks so much hotter, nice one Ryan

Dec 30, 2006 AnthoFlex

oooooo, in oNe right! that vid is the super shit

Dec 30, 2006 SonicSoaper

Where can I find these vids!

Dec 30, 2006 Slidey

I've done backslides on a horizontal rail before, It's soooo skectchy, even if I do it on my PVC I can only get about 3 meters (4 I've done once or twice)

Dec 30, 2006 Mart

...I believe I said tWo, not oNe

Dec 30, 2006 AnthoFlex

oh....whoops haha

Dec 30, 2006 snikas

nice angle man

Jan 1, 2007 Mart

Ryan, is this the backslide that's in the BiS video?

Jan 1, 2007 AnthoFlex

i remember seeing A LOT of the pictures in the vid....gave me a happy feeling, i dunno why

Jan 2, 2007 Rynasty

Yes this was in the bis video, but from a different angle.

Jan 7, 2007 snikas

i gotta try that but i gotta find a rail like that first

Jan 7, 2007 Q

I dont see how you could keep your balance. Its seems like you would fall back and like crack your head on the rail or something

Jan 7, 2007 snikas

i no it looks really hard

Jan 7, 2007 SonicSoaper

It's hard but possible. I was doing a backslide for about two seconds but then I busted out on my elbow.

Feb 5, 2007 Locke

Nice grind, nice shot. Great photo.

Feb 6, 2007 snikas

yeah really nice

Mar 24, 2007 SonicSoaper

I wouldn't even try a rail that steep.
