May 16, 2006 Surfaced

Well.. The Broadsides and A-Sides' plates were split in to multiple parts for flex.

May 17, 2006 Curtinator

Haha.. I remember seeing Heelys with soap shoe grind plates and the wheel. (well ofcorse the wheel)

May 23, 2006 onthegrindduude

Jun 25, 2006 AnthoFlex

These look bad....i dun like em.....i dun think that theres ANY lock-in at all.....I would have the express's over these ANY day

Jul 8, 2006 AnthoFlex

Hey surfaced, i kno its kinda late to say this, but in regards to ur last comment, i know that but i meant like....Look WHERE its split....that doesnt look to trusting you know what i mean?.....has anyone had a bad expeirence with this plate? maybe i could be wrong, maybe they could kick sum serious ass

Jul 30, 2006 AnthoFlex

IS the Heelys logo in the middle part of the plate? I mean it is but like, is it of the plates material as well?

Jul 30, 2006 Mart

I would imagine that it is, otherwise if the plate wore down a fraction you'd stall on the logo

Jul 30, 2006 SonicSoaper

I might get a pair of Heely's, put only for the grind plate. The wheels are overrated.

Aug 18, 2006 AnthoFlex

I was at the mall yesterday and there was a whole stand of heelys...I was trying to talk to the lady about Soap Shoes but she didnt speak too much english... Anywayz, I saw A LOT of them with these grind rails....i didnt see any with Express....The grind rails came in A LOT of different colors....Honestly, they dunt look as bad as the pic....and there are grooves on the side PERFECT of tweaking... Oh and Mart, the first thing i checked was the Heelys logo (on the plate) Both you and I thought that it was plastic like the rest of the plate.....Its not...LMAO....it was as rubbery as the rest of the sole

Aug 18, 2006 Wesker

Ha, Antho are you talking about the food court at Queens center?

Aug 18, 2006 AnthoFlex

HAHAHAHA Yea

Aug 18, 2006 AnthoFlex

I was trying to talk to the lady about SOap shoes...I was like "Do you sell Soap Shoes?"

"Shoes? oo oo oo yes yes Shoes Here Here"

"N..No, THESE kinda shoes *i showed her my Soaps"

"Shoes? oo oo oo yes yes Shoes Here Here"

"ooooook Thanx lady"

i walked away pissed and laughing

Aug 18, 2006 Mart

Wow... that's a bit ridiculous. Is the logo recessed much or is it at plate level?

Aug 18, 2006 AnthoFlex

Its actually not to far from the top...hmm...hows the easiest way to describe..?.........Ok how about this, You know the express plate has the Soap logo in it right?.....the heelys logo is a BIT higher than that, so yea, that is somewhat ridiculous...more to plate level

Aug 18, 2006 AnthoFlex

*from what i can rememebr though

Aug 27, 2006 SonicSoaper

I have a pair of Torch Heelys and I I'm pretty sure there is no SOAP logo in the express grind plate, unless you mean that parallellagram shape on the bottom with the silver rubber inside of it.

Aug 27, 2006 AnthoFlex

Yo Dario, (If you've been there lately), do they have any Heelys with the Express plate?

Aug 27, 2006 SonicSoaper

I just answered that question. The Torch Heelys have an Express plate in them.

Aug 27, 2006 AnthoFlex

OMG, i completely left out half of what i was asking, Sorry that you answered that SonicSoaper....what i meant to ask was:

Yo Dario, (If you've been there lately), at the queens center mall Heelys stand, do they have any Heelys with the Express plate in them?

what the HELL

Jan 16, 2007 AnthoFlex

People probably already know this, but to put it out in the open....

The reason (i believe) there are 2 cemented plates may be for:

1. Flexibility (but i doubt that)
2. Less contact= More Speed

But like i stated before, for some bizarre reason, the Heely logo in the middle is INDEED rubber (not nylon plastic). To add to the bizarrness, the Heely logo is not as deep as you would think...its almost at plate level. Meaning...all it'll take is a little bit of wear and then....well...you try jumping on a rail with a big rubber spot and expect to slide

Jan 16, 2007 Mart

The split would be for flexibility yes; the same applied to the sole plates on the Broadsides and the Salomon grind shoes. Also, the rubber shouldn't be much of a problem as it would only act as a mild break, similar to grinding on the side of the shoe

Jan 16, 2007 AnthoFlex

Hmm.... The Salomon Mr. Wilson was split? On the pix shown on solidgrind, they look as though they arent...

Jan 22, 2007 Mart

The Mr. Wilson, along with the X-Factors and the Broadsides, were split laterally at the heel and toe. I did say 'the same applied to the sole plates on the Broadsides ...' after all

Jan 22, 2007 AnthoFlex

I know, i was talking about the Sole plates. I did a google image search and found out that they are split

On the pix of them here at solidgrind, they looked as though they werent

Jan 22, 2007 AnthoFlex

By the way, if you or anyone has pix of the X factors, can you email them to me? i would like to know what they look like

AnthoFlex@yahoo.com

also the quickdraws but i doubt that'll happen

Feb 11, 2007 knowsnot

I want them but I need to know if the fit in the Atomic heely

Feb 11, 2007 AnthoFlex

and how do you expect to get them into a plateless Heely?

and dumbass....they AREN'T replaceable

Feb 12, 2007 SonicSoaper

Dee dee dee.

Mar 23, 2007 heelyhailey

hmmm, ive been meaning to try these plates. I know some people who prefer them over express.

Mar 23, 2007 AnthoFlex

*Cough* Rob Santos *Cough

Mar 24, 2007 rhinoskater30

I have the Heelys Grail, and they don't lock too well, good enough though, but go really fast, which I like. They are also really wide and durable so you can grind a lot of stuff.

Mar 26, 2007 XYZPDQ

Man, do you really want to know what would be really great? If half of the people who commented on this website had a decent education to know when their grammar really sucks.

Mar 26, 2007 SonicSoaper

Man, do you really want to know what would be really great? When you actually post something grind shoe related.

Mar 26, 2007 AnthoFlex

Man, do you really want to know what would really be great? When....

Oh look! Family Guy is on! *runs to TV*

Mar 26, 2007 SonicSoaper

Seriously? I'm watching the new Bill Engvall special. But hey, it's still Family Guy!

Mar 26, 2007 AnthoFlex

it was a joke dude....

Mar 26, 2007 SonicSoaper

Oh....I realised that when I turned on Fox and American Dad was on. XD

Jul 25, 2007 moojuiceman

see i'm thinking bout getting some expresses from SaP but would it be worth getting heelys with expresses. because as long as i can grind with them it'll be alright but i'm just wondering whether one is slightly better than the other. these plates look kinda sucky as if they would break apart real easy.

Jul 25, 2007 Megashadow77

They ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.

Getting Heelys over these would just be wasting 100 dollars.

Jul 25, 2007 Megashadow77

not over these....I meant over Expresses.

Jul 26, 2007 graybass20x6

Personally, I think:

Bail with Heelys = Hilarious.

Bail with Soaps = Laughable, but I'm still laughing about the guy who did the splits in Heelys.

This is an interesting plate. I wonder how well it does compared to Soaps.

Jul 26, 2007 AnthoFlex

It sucks.

Thin, No lock-in, big fucking gap in the middle that'll kill you on ledges

Jul 26, 2007 Altman

Stick with buying Expresses from Steve and Trev. Trust me, we need all the sales we can get for them.

Jul 27, 2007 moojuiceman

yea they do sound kinda sucky, heelys that is, just gonna get some expresses from those guys and start soaping immediately.

Aug 17, 2007 rhinoskater30

you can go fast, but no lock on
a complete disaster

Aug 20, 2007 greenfire8484

grind rails? wat the helll were they thinking calling the plates 'grind rails?' rofl thats so stupid its just fucking hilarious!

Oct 10, 2007 TheSoaper

IZ THIS PLATE MADE OF METAL? cuz Ithink tHAT Wuld be cool ifit was. Metalsoaps sounds cool.

Oct 10, 2007 Page645

well as far as i know there is NO plate that is made of metal BESIDES the RB grind shoes

Oct 10, 2007 RamenRadio

AIM!

Oct 10, 2007 Altman

Well Keith, technically the metal rollers in the RB grind shoes were metal. If I'm not mistaken there was a plastic grind plate that could be used when the rollers were taken out.

Oct 10, 2007 RamenRadio

well that didn't do anything.

It sounded just the same thing....
Doesn't metal = metal?

Oct 10, 2007 Altman

Well seeing how the rollers themselves and the actual plates were two different components it doesn't mean the entire plate was metal.

Oct 10, 2007 Page645

wait the metal rollers could be taken out?!!?!??!?!

Oct 10, 2007 AnthoFlex

Yea

Oct 11, 2007 Page645

O.o

Feb 17, 2008 shifter1254

Feb 17, 2008 Kain

Apr 7, 2008 wyattpeterson

wack as hell

Apr 7, 2008 mets603412

there are better grind plates than this

Apr 8, 2008 rhinoskater30

no lockage, fast, but no lockage. it makes a grind useless if you can't stay on

WAY TO USE YOUR NOGGIN HSL!!! :P

Apr 23, 2008 misterterse94

lol just the name of the plates make it gay. y would u evn put these on heelys!?

Sep 17, 2013 mcgrinder2011

What is WITH hsl, seriously, they look like they'd break easily, be very fast, and have the worst lock on. Hsl should've never bought soap.
