Question.......
Jan 16, 2007 by Mauisnow13

When Grinding Handrails, how do you brake? I know it has to do with the side of the shoe, but that's about all.....Srry, I haven't soaped for a while, and kinda forgot...

Soaps left where I'm from and I haven't been able to find a pair until they made the Express....

Thanks for all the help....

You need to have a deep enough groove on the side of your shoe so that when you bend your foot, you will hit rubber.

yea.....a Groove growing in your plates that goes into your shoe is just about your best friend in Soaping speed control

Is an Express a good shoe for this then?

when i soap a hand rail I dont really stop, i just keep going. But when i do stop i like my slo-bros better, beacause the express plate just seems to go up a little bit higher on the shoe

yes the Express is a good shoe for it

"the express plate just seems to go up a little bit higher on the shoe" true, this can be good also because once you do have that perfect groove, there is still a lot of plastic there.
