Soaps make good Skate shoes?
Mar 20, 2009 by DamienBlack

Ive always skated in Vans slip ons and i was wondering how soaps help up. It took me forever to find size 13 soaps and i dont want to destroy them. I have scabs.

scabs will hold up very well. I used to use my cleans to skate until the sole gave out.

It was funny. The upper outlasted the rest of the shoe

Keep in mind, if the sole is fresh, you won't feel your board as much as you will with your Vans.

Wear em in a little and you should be good.

PS- Vans slip ons to skate? Thats not really safe...

Word up, skating in slipons is how I broke my toe.

With how rare soap shoes are these days I would advise you not to skate in your soaps. Skating destroys shoes. No matter what kind of shoe you have the grip tape will wear out your shoes 10x faster than normal wear. I usually buy some cheap skate shoes from big 5 for like $20-30.
