More about the Grails
May 13, 2002 by broox

Sup guys, I just got off the phone with a representative of Heelys and got a bit more info to answer some of your questions.

· First of all, Heelys is based out of Carrollton Texas, which means they will be available in TX (along with everywhere else in the US).

· The shoes are due in stores this June (but they will be in Cali and on their site, first)

· The plates are non removable.

· The plates are NOTHING like the impacts.

· There are actually 2 plates on each shoe. If you look at the picture again, you can sorta see that there are 2.

· One very positive thing for Heelys is that a former employee of Soap is designing their grind plates, therefore the plates will be awesome.

· Regular Heelys range from $79-$109, the Grails are set to be $109. (To me this isn't too outrageous considering you get 2 things in 1 shoe).

· One nice thing about the grail is that there is a whole lot of new trick possibilities. You can pull off true wheelbarrow grinds, grind a ledge with one foot grinding and one foot rolling. All kinds of stuff.

If you're not completely up to speed on what the Grails are, check out these older articles...
