ex: an assemblage of skaters, or soapers is not an assembly, but might be turned into one by collecting into a body with a view to discuss and decide as to some object of common interest.



You're probably asking... What in the hell is Derek talking about!? Well, I think that since the DVD I'm producing is going to be a collaboration of various things coming together to form 1 video... we should reflect that through our name. Skaters normally don't get along with inline skaters, just as skiers don't get along with snowboarders, BUT... in this video, everyone is coming together due to their common love for doing totally amazing tricks on some silly pieces of equipment. Not only are we combining people from different sports, we're combining people from around the world, to make a worldwide, "sportwide" video! So, as for now, be ready for Assembalge. Coming this winter...

Alright, we're starting to get some AWESOME footage. I spent the weekend at Western Illinois University to get some video, and we got some really good stuff. My roomate, Kevin, and I drove down to stay with Zach Larson (who will both play huge roles in the DVD) and some of his friends. We got all kinds of inline skating, some soaping and some really funny stuff. We got our buddy matt to jump off some random people's roof into some trees/bushes. Joe snuck onto some other people's porch roof to do the same... and we got lots of other similar things.



Along with that, I've been gettnig some SICK videos sent in to us, so everyone who sends in their stuff is up for a little compitetion, hehe. We've gotten some really funny clips from Australia, some really good clips from New Jersey, awesome ones from Greece, and lots more.
